Foil Blocking
ACA’s Foil Blocking department caters for a very wide range of jobs. From business cards printed on small format sheets in low volume to whisky labels printed on B1 sheets in high volume, all in a days work for this department.The Precious Metal appearance which is achieved by Gold, Silver or Bronze foil blocking cannot be matched, for quality by any other printing method! Where a graphic designer is looking for a prestige finish on a job, foil blocking is the natural choice, whether for a drop shadow effect or a subtle cover message or design. Foil offers such a wide range of finishes from high impact gloss to satin over a huge range of colour options (many of which are held in stock at ACA). Now stock foils such as hologram designs and others can be brought in at short notice. It is worth noting that foil as applied to a printed sheet is completely opaque, and because ACA can hold tight register in this process, it can be used as a means of correcting printing errors (where appropriate) saving sheets which may otherwise be wasted.
